ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the quality of infectious disease surveillance data and provide scientific basis for improving data quality and health decision-making. Methods The comprehensive index of infectious disease monitoring system evaluation and the integrity, accuracy and reliability of infectious disease report data were used to evaluate the quality of infectious disease monitoring data in multiple dimensions. Results In 2021, The comprehensive evaluation index of infectious disease surveillance system was 98.40%. In terms of data integrity, 1 105 data were missing, and the incomplete rate was 1.46%; In terms of data accuracy, 1978 cases were not accurately, rate of accuracy was 26.72%; In terms of data reliability, the card reporting rate of tertiary medical institutions accounted for 67.05%, the diagnosis rate of confirmed cases was 27.74%, and the correction rate of report card was 28.48%. Conclusion The accuracy and reliability of infectious disease data are insufficient, and new methods for infectious disease monitoring data quality are expanded to make up for the lack of data quality evaluation of the current national epidemic system.

ABSTRACT

Objective@#To understand the status quo of school bullying among middle school students in Anhui Province and its correlation with family environment and education methods of students related to school bullying, so as to provide corresponding prevention and controlling measures against school bullying.@*Methods@#The investigation has been conducted on the occurrence of school bullying among middle school students ranging from junior grade one to senior grade three in Hefei, Wuhu, Fuyang of Anhui Province, during which up to 1 826 students information has been gathered through Questionnaire Atar Platform using the school bullying scale and self designed questionnaire. SPSS 26.0 statistical software has been applied for data analysis.@*Results@#The incidence of bullying was 41.40%, and among them, 14.46% were reported to bully others, 39.59% of them were of being bullied, and 12.65% of them were reported of bullying others and being bullied at the same time. Multivariate Logistic regression corrected model showed that quiet relationship with mother ( OR=1.76, 95%CI =1.22-2.53) was a risk factor for the bully, quiet relationship with father( OR=1.89, 95%CI=1.47-2.43 ), reorganized family ( OR=2.28, 95%CI =1.22-4.29) were the risk factors for the bullied, quiet/poor relationship between parents ( OR=1.52, 95%CI=1.06-2.17; OR=3.15, 95%CI =1.79-5.57) was a risk factor for the bully-bullied; Punishment and abuse( OR=1.45, 95%CI=1.10-1.90; OR=1.82, 95%CI=1.48-2.23; OR=1.47, 95%CI = 1.10- 1.96) were risk factors for the above three behaviors( P <0.05).@*Conclusion@#The incidence of school bullying is influenced by family environment and rearing style. In daily life, parents should be mindful of maintaining a good family relationship, fostering active communication with child, which can reduce the occurrence of school bullying.

ABSTRACT

Objective To compare the effect of different ways of water supply and whether or not drain water from waterlines for overnight on bacterial counts in dental unit waterlines(DUWLs).Methods In the first phase,6 sets of DUWLs were randomly divided into 2 groups (external storage tank water supply group and municipal water sup-ply group);in the second phase,6 sets of DUWLs were all changed to use external storage tank and randomly di-vided into 2 groups (draining water for overnight group and without draining water for overnight group),bacterial count before and within one week of disinfection between two groups at two phases were compared respectively. Results In the first phase, handpiece water of DUWLs was most seriously contaminated by bacteria, the average colony count was 4117 CFU/mL,qualified rate was 15.38%.Before disinfection,no significant difference in bacte-rial count were found among each groups (all P>0.05),bacterial count of DUWLs of all groups severely exceeded the standard(all >3000 CFU/mL).Comparison of bacterial count in DUWLs from different water supply routes after disinfection was not significantly different on day 1(P>0.05),but were significantly different at day 2-7(all P0.05),but were significantly different on day 2-7(all P100 CFU/mL.Conclusion Use of external storage tank, daily change of sterile distilled water, and daily emptying water for overnight can effectively reduce bacterial count in DUWLs.

ABSTRACT

[Objective]The article summarizes the experience of Professor HE Lingzhi in treating purpura nephritis . [Methods]To collect and analyse the theory of HE's experience of herb pairs in treating purpura nephritis by studying from her for a long time and one medical record. [Results]Professor HE Lingzhi believes that the disease needs stage therapeutics and it is caused by pathogen wind pyretic pathogenic factor and poisonous evil in the stag of onset. Deficiency of both qi and yin in remission period. Syndrome of blood stasis consistently throughout purpura nephritis. Pro. HE treats purpura nephritis by pairing drugs, such as schizonepetae and honeysuckle, caulis sinomenii and saposhnikovia divaricata, astragalus membranaceus and eclipta alba, the root of red-rooted salvia and puccoon. [Conclusion] Professor HE's clinical experience in treating purpura nephritis from pairing drugs is well worth learning for it always gets outstanding effect.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the impact ofα?lipoic acid(ALA)treatment on sepsis?induced acute kidney injury in rats and explore the mechanisms. Methods A total of 32 male SD rats were randomized into 4 groups:normal control group(group A),ALA?treated control group (group B),sepsis group(group C)and sepsis with ALA treated group(group D). Group A and B underwent sham operation, while CLP operations were conducted in group C and D. Rats in both group B and group D were then administered with 200 mg/kg ALA by oral gavage immediately after the surgical procedure. Twenty?four hours after the surgical procedure blood samples were obtained for the evaluation of creatinine,BUN,TNF?α,IL?6 and IL?1β. Rat kidneys were rapidly removed for PAS stain. Western blot was employed to determine the expression of NF?κB. Results Pathologi?cal changes of kidney were induced by sepsis and the level of creatinine,BUN,TNF?α,IL?6 and IL?1βwere significantly increased by 178%,66%, 55%,114%and 110%(P<0.01). respectively;simultaneously the phosphorylation and nuclear expression of NF?κB p65 in kidney tissues were significantly increased by 144%and 102%(P<0.01). Sepsis?induced acute kidney injury also significantly reduced the expression of IκBαby 61%(P<0.01). These changes were significantly suppressed by early ALA treatment. Compared with C group, the level of creatinine,BUN,TNF?α,IL?6 and IL?1βwere significantly decreased by 48%,26%,25%,37%and 40%(P<0.05),respectively,and the relative expression of IκBαwas increased by 103%(P<0.05). Conclusion The present study demonstrated that ALA can suppress the activation of NF?κB,thus ameliorat?ing sepsis?related acute kidney injury.
